It’s Israel Shabbat this Saturday (Jan. 21) at Nafshenu. Please come for the food (Reb Dovid’s falafel and hummus, some baklava from the deli near me), music, companionship and learning. Those living in our ancestral home, our promised land, face political and other challenges not unlike those here in the US. I will talk on “What’s New in the Ancient Land?” Please bring your ideas as we look at ways we can deepen our connections to the land and its inhabitants.

Lots of fun was had last Friday at Nafshenu’s musical Shabbat and pizza-potluck. It was great to see our community gather in the friendly and cozy Mary’s Room at Prince of Peace. Lauren and Lisa (below) like the space, which often will be available for our use on Shabbat.
