Please RSVP and help us plan for Thursday evening's memorial for Angela McGinty, Mimi Lewis's mom. Stacey Young has kindly come forward to host a gathering Thursday (tomorrow) evening so we can pay respects to Mimi and Howard Lewis and honor the memory of Mimi's
mother. We'll have a few readings and prayer and will hear more about Angela McGinty's life. RSVP on this link to let us know you're coming, and for directions: bit.ly/NafAngela -+-+-+-+-+-
“’Give comfort, give comfort, O my people,’ God says.” Isaiah 40:1
-*-*-*-*-*-*- This has been a time of loss for our Nafshenu community, with two funerals for loved ones coming
on the same day. I want to thank everyone who stepped up to offer condolences to Mimi and Howard Lewis for the loss of Mimi’s mother Angela McGinty, and to Gail Simon-Bierenbaum and her children for the loss of Gail’s husband, our member Richard Simon-Bierenbaum. The funerals (one Jewish, one Catholic) were held the
morning of May 24, and members of Nafshenu showed up for both. Thank you to those who turned out, and to those who later joined the shiva minyans for Richard. This Thursday at 7pm, we have a chance to offer comfort to Mimi and Howard at a condolence gathering, hosted by Nafshenu’s Stacey Young. There will be dessert. Mimi’s mother Angela McGinty was a Philadelphia native and lived 94 years – 57 of them with her late husband John. She was a proud mother of seven, grandmother of 10 and great-grandmother of nine! We will have a chance to learn more about Angela’s life on Thursday evening as Mimi and Howard share memories of her. Please call, text or email me if you need directions or want to share a ride.
