Last year, Passover came at a time of relative peace and tranquility for Jews in America and Israel. Who could have imagined that six months later, Israel would suffer its deadliest attack ever, that Hamas terrorists would kill 1,200 people and seize more than 200 hostages? And how is it possible that dozens of the kidnapped remain in
captivity, while tens of thousands of Israelis are still refugees from their homes in the Galilee and the Negev?
Finding consolation for the suffering and hope for the future are tough challenges this Passover. We can start by sticking together and supporting one another.
