Please mark your calendars for Friday evening. We'll be observing the "bonfire holiday," which commemorates a break in the deadly struggle between Jewish rebels and the Roman Empire in the 2nd century CE.

While the Bar Kochba revolt ended disastrously for our people, the Jewish resisters were able to find joy amid the struggle.
