Freedom comes in "sevens." Why is that? Please join Nafshenu's weekly Zoom Bible study class this evening, 7-8pm, for a look at the power of the number SEVEN as a marker of completeness and freedom. This week's double Torah portion, Behar-Bechukotai, opens with two laws based on sevens: The
shmitah, or seventh year, in which debts are forgiven, and the yovel, or 50th year (7x7+1), during which everyone is to regain their ancestral land holdings. Shabbat, the seventh day, is a time for rest, freedom from work.
