ISRAEL WEEK AT NAFSHENU: Zoom program Tuesday, Zionism and the Bible class Thursday, Kabbalat Shabbat/falafel meal Friday
TUESDAY marks Yom HaZikaron, Israel's Memorial Day for its soldiers and others killed in war. It comes on the eve of Wednesday's Yom HaAtzma'ut, Israel Independence Day.
At 6pm Tuesday, Philadelphia's Germantown Jewish Centre invites Nafshenu
members to Zoom into a talk/slide show with Guy Raz, Curator of Photography at the Eretz Israel museum in Tel Aviv. His topic is the "Zionist Gaze in Israeli Photography." Guy also is Pearl Raz's brother.

THURSDAY'S regular Zoom Bible class takes a break from the weekly Torah portion to look at
texts from the Bible and prayerbook that address the debate over whether Zionism is a distortion of Judaism or a core part of our tradition and culture.

FRIDAY NIGHT, we'll have a Kabbalat Shabbat service and falafel/hummus/salads dinner at Prince of Peace, starting at 6pm. It's a chance to
take encouragement, despite the fighting and division, in the Jewish people's revival in our historic homeland.
Please join your Nafshenu friends this week for some learning, companionship and fun.
