Israeli foods to mark Independence Day

The 78th birthday of the State of Israel comes at a tough time for the Jewish state and those who care about it. So let's rise to the occasion by bringing fun and joy to the holiday.

FRIDAY NIGHT (6-8:30pm), we'll have a Kabbalat Shabbat service and falafel/hummus/salads dinner at Prince of Peace, starting at 6pm. 

Bring yourselves. The food is "on the house," but donations to causes like the Israeli Red Cross, Magen David Adom, will be welcome. Details to come.

 TOMORROW NIGHT (Thursday, 7-8pm), our regular Zoom Bible class looks at the foundations of Jews attachment to the land and what relevance they have for debates today over Israel and its legitimacy.
