PLEASE JOIN our Shabbat morning service and potluck lunch TOMORROW (Saturday, May 2, 10am) at Prince of Peace. Mothers in Judaism is our theme, pegged to next weekend's Mother's Day. It's a change for a twofer: A call to the Torah and a piece of my mom's apple pie (or as close as I can get to recreating it).

The discussion looks at the role women have played in the Bible and in Jewish history, counter to the strong patriarchal bent in our tradition.
